ESCMID offers abstract submitters for ECCMID 2018 the following grants and awards:

 

Industry-sponsored travel grants for participants from low-income countries
We are pleased to announce a new travel grant opportunity for ECCMID 2018 attendants! Thanks to an unrestricted educational grant from Bayer we will be able to support a number of abstract submitters from low-income or developing countries. The grant includes travel to and from ECCMID 2018, accommodation during the congress, and full registration for ECCMID 2018. The grant is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Travels must be booked through the ECCMID secretariat. Eligible are students, fellows or scientists who have submitted an accepted abstract, and who come from a low-income or developing country. Participants cannot apply for the grants. The ESCMID office will contact abstract submitters who are eligible.

ESCMID Travel Grants
ESCMID offers 100 young scientists who submit an abstract an ECCMID Travel Grant covering full registration to the congress and a travel allowance of EUR 500. More information can be found on the ESCMID website.

ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award
The ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award 2018 recognizes an outstanding sepsis abstract submitted to the 28th ECCMID 2018. All abstract submitters in the sepsis field are eligible for this USD 500 award. ISF will review all sepsis-related abstracts and select a winner. More information can be found on the ESCMID website
