Renowned experts will share their expertise in their keynote lectures.
When: Sunday to Tuesday

These symposia convene renowned speakers from all over the world and cover a wide range of topics in the fields of clinical microbiology, infectious diseases and infection control. A number of symposia are arranged in cooperation with ESCMID Study Groups, while others are jointly organized with partnering societies or organizations. Some of the symposia give an overview over recent developments and research results, while others review the literature or are presented as pro-con debates.
When: Saturday to Tuesday

The Meet-the-Expert Sessions are led by recognized authorities in their fields. After a short presentation the experts will open the session for discussion, which will be driven by active audience participation.
When: Sunday to Tuesday at 07.45am

Educational Workshops are organized in cooperation with ESCMID Study Groups and partnering organizations. They contain review talks and/or case studies that lend themselves to discussions. The goal of this format is education through interactivity. For the first time this year, these sessions are spread over the entire duration of the congress.
